Release notes #1 · new figures, new questions, easier sign-in

This is the first of a monthly series: a short, factual note on what landed in MedQVault, so “growing weekly” is something you can audit rather than take on faith.

Figures, and the questions they unlock

The bank’s rule is simple: an image-based question is not released until its purpose-drawn figure card has been generated and clinically verified. A visual question without its visual is half a question, so the incomplete ones wait, invisible, rather than shipping as text-only stubs.

As of this note, 448 figure cards are verified and live, each attached to its question, with a further 893 image-flagged questions still withheld while their figures work through generation and verification. Every verified batch releases its questions into the bank automatically, which is the mechanism behind the growing-weekly claim: the bank you subscribe to genuinely gets larger, on top of its 4,000-plus already-live questions, without you doing anything.

Categories are not releasing evenly. Cardiovascular and abdominal figures are complete, every image question in those categories is live; the big imaging-heavy backlogs (signs and symptoms, trauma, HEENT, neurology) are where most of the remaining 893 sit, and where the coming months’ releases will land.

Easier ways into your account

Sign-in grew three options this cycle:

  • Magic links. Enter your email, click the link, you are in. No password recall on a night shift.
  • Six-digit codes. The same flow for contexts where clicking an email link is awkward, such as hospital machines where your mail lives on your phone.
  • Google sign-in. One tap if your account email is a Google address, and you can connect or disconnect it from your existing account in the Account panel.

Password reset got the same overhaul, and deep links now survive the sign-in round trip: land on a specific quiz link while signed out, sign in by any method, and you arrive where you were headed.

On the website

Two small tools joined the marketing site, free and account-optional:

  • The study planner: enter your exam date and weekly hours, get a phased plan that deep-links straight into the app’s quiz builder.
  • The question of the week: one full sample question with its complete five-part explanation, rotating weekly.

The boring numbers, on principle

The figure counts above come from the same audit script we run internally, not from a marketing estimate, and future notes will do the same. If a number in this series is ever wrong, flag it like a question.
